What you’ll do:
Reporting to the Liquor Store Manager you will be primarily responsible for supporting the Liquor Store Manager in all aspects of managing the retail liquor departments (at both locations). Your duties will include:
• Ensure smooth and efficient operations with the Liquor Store, including supporting the store manager with the management, maintenance and security of the liquor store locations and properties.
• Assist with operational direction and ensuring compliance with organization policies, procedures and programs and support brand initiatives including upholding merchandising, image and marketing standards.
• Promotes and ensures all company, safety, environmental and regulatory policies and procedures are met, including responsible sale/service and safe handling/storage of alcohol.
• Ensures prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service is provided at all times to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction; assists with direct customer service as require.
• Play a leadership role in the recruitment and selection of new team members, performance management, performance appraisals, training and development, coaching, and motivational activities of the department team while fostering a positive work environment that enables the engagement of all team members in the pursuit of desired results.
• Work co-operatively with other departments and suppliers

Who you are:
You are looking for a career Management with a focus in the Liquor Division and have and:
• Grade 12
• 1 -3 year of experience in retail and/or customer service, with supervisory and liquor store experience preferred.
• Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Co-operative retail experience would be an asset
• Wine Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Level 2.
• Must be at least 19 years of age.
• Has strong problem-solving skills and is able to remain calm under pressure. 

• 1 -3 year of experience in retail and/or customer service, with supervisory and liquor store experience preferred.
• Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Co-operative retail experience would be an asset
• Wine Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Level 2.
• Must be at least 19 years of age.
• Has strong problem-solving skills and is able to remain calm under pressure.

• Possesses strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must successfully complete provincially required training/certification relating to the responsible service and/or sale of alcohol (ex. Serve it Right certificate)
• Comfortable working with different types of operating equipment such as a pallet jack, walkie stacker and computers/till.
• Must be capable of repetitive lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods of time.

A combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.
