Discovery Co-op is proud to announce its commitment to the Living Sky Innovation Fund.

The fund is a joint effort by the Living Sky School Division (LSKYSD) and various community partners to support innovative projects that will take education in the division to the next level. The vision for the fund is to encourage creativity, innovation and support projects and initiatives that will better serve students now, and in the future. The Living Sky Innovation Fund has already supported several pilot programs that could be scaled to include more schools, such as making learning happen every day, despite extreme weather conditions, and creating spaces for students to celebrate and connect with their culture through the creation of a Cree kindergarten program.

At Discovery Co-op, we believe it is essential to acknowledge and address the historical injustices that have affected First Nations people. Through our contribution to the Living Sky Innovation Fund, we are proud to support the healing process and work towards a more inclusive and respectful future for all. We are excited about the impact this partnership will have on our community and look forward to working with the Living Sky School Division to make a positive difference in the lives of our students.
