Local Artist Makes Impact Using Communities in Full Colour

The Chapel Art Gallery has a fresh new look thanks to local artist, Aleksi Ann. The mural, which was unveiled at the end of Battlefords Pride Week was designed to celebrate rural lgbt+ people, and the community of North Battleford. While Aleksi Ann was the driving force between the design and installation, many volunteers made the project possible. 

Discovery Co-op was happy to support the project by donating paint as part of Communities in Full Colour. The program provides free paint to be used towards local community improvements. The Battlefords are so fortunate to have a strong art community and individuals like Aleksi, who share their talents to benefit the community.
